1. How Canada Chai wins “true taste and nutritional value” tests over other Chai brands.

Only organic Assam tea, organic roasted chicory, fresh organic ginger, premium and organic whole spices are used to make Canada Chai.
No natural nor artificial flavours are added to Canada Chai. Other Chais add flavourings to compensate for taste lost by not using high quality ingredients and to cut on costs of high quality ingredients.”
Since we use only high quality spices, we don't need to overpower our Chai concentrate with refined surgar and natural flavours to create a good Chai.

2. Why Canada Chai is less sweet than other Chai brands.

We only use natural sweeteners like clover honey from Alberta and certified organic maple syrup from Quebec to sweeten the Canada Chai Original. Honey and maple syrup are better for your overall health than refined sugar.
To emulate an impression of spiciness , a high amount of refined sugar and natural flavours are added to other Chai brands. Adding high quantity of sugar will hide the lack of spiciness of other Chai brands. High quantities of sugar is not good and may lead to health problems.
You only taste the whole and fresh ingredients. We don't simulate good taste with a load of sugar. The more sugar is used, the spicier it will taste.

3. Why Canada Chai doesn't have that artificial aftertaste.

Canada Chai doesn't contain ANY added flavourings like other Chai brands that use many flavours like cinnamon , cloves, ginger, and other spice flavours to create their Chai.
Canada Chai contains only natural ingredients: organic Assam tea, organic roasted chicory and fresh organic ginger. Premium and organic whole spices are exclusively used to make Canada Chai concentrates

4. Why Canada Chai is a higher quality concentrate than other Chai brands.

Canada Chai is a handcrafted concentrate because we brew the Chai in single batches, versus continuous batching done by larger Chai companies.
Each batch is started fresh to guarantee purity and brewed without adjuncts and stabilizers.

5. Canada Chai Unsweetened versus "not-so-sweet” Chais.

We decided to stay away from “sugarless” artificial sweeteners and let the consumers decide on their own, how to sweeten their Chai.
Our market research indicates those who prefer unsweetened Chai are really looking for a Chai with no artificial additives nor artificial sweeteners.
Those who are drinking the “not-so-sweet” Chai or “sugarless” Chai still find it too sweet with an artificial after-taste.
Our research is largely based on our experience at the Old Strathcona Farmerʼs Market in Edmonton, Alberta, where, every Saturday since November 2004, we contact in excess of 500 people.

6. Why Canada Chai doesn't have a label stating "100% organic".

Certain certified organic spices and certified organic honey are not always readily available. Since we cannot guarantee the availability of these organic ingredients, we prefer not to put "100% organic" and mislead the consumer.
We use certified organic Assam black tea, certified organic roasted chicory, certified organic fresh ginger, certified organic maple syrup and some certified organic spices when available.
To stay true with our values, we claim "natural and organic ingredients".
Our natural and organic spices are free of pesticides, don't contain sulfites and are free of radiation. Our spice supplier is the leading supplier of premium quality all natural and organic products in North America, where the product quality is unsurpassed.
